InfraSight Announces Intent to Form InfraX™ to Revolutionize Compute Supply Chain Risk Management
Charlotte, NC — InfraSight Software Corporation, a pioneer in cloud financial and compute supply chain solutions, is excited to announce its intent to form a new entity, InfraX™. InfraX’s mission is to establish a new centralized, transparent exchange for enterprises to discover prices, manage risk, and access liquidity for their high performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.
InfraX: A Timely Venture
Paramount to InfraX will be the Workload Compute Unit Hour (WCUh), InfraSight’s patent-protectable framework that standardizes compute capacity and unit-cost quotations. InfraSight plans to license intellectual property rights to InfraX, allowing it to create, list, trade, settle, and clear WCU Financial Products. This venture comes at a crucial time as many enterprises face increased exposure and disruption from compute cost and resource constraints, power and environmental limitations, chip supply chain fragility, and risks of over-procurement.
Benefits for Market Participants:
- Enhance risk management, including hedging against compute price exposure and capacity risk
- Increase yield from hardware investments
- Competitive pricing and price discovery
- Understand the fair market value of compute (i.e., mark-to-market accounting)
- Capitalize on compute market volatility
Leadership and Expertise
InfraSight has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with capital market veterans Jack Bouroudjian and Robert Alberghine, who intend to spearhead the creation and operations of InfraX. Mr. Bouroudjian, who is expected to serve as InfraX’s Chairman, is a former Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (NASDAQ: CME) Board Member and CNBC paid contributor. Mr. Bouroudjian is renowned for his pioneering work on exchange-traded products, including the revolutionary E-Mini futures complex.
Mr. Alberghine is a seasoned commodity advisor with extensive experience in market dynamics and risk management, having previously developed multiple Commodity Trading Advisors. More recently, Mr. Alberghine has focused on creating digital commodity exchanges designed with a focus on pre-trade verification rather than post-trade, facilitating near-instant settlement.
Leadership Insights on InfraX Venture
Jack Bouroudjian, Expected Chairman of InfraX:
“In today’s rapidly evolving AI-driven landscape, the need for a central price discovery mechanism for enterprises and data center operators is more critical than ever. InfraX aims to revolutionize how enterprises manage their HPC infrastructure by providing a platform that not only offers price discovery but also access to liquidity and the ability to hedge against volatility and compute unavailability. Our vision is to bring the same level of capital efficiencies and risk management to the compute market that we have in traditional commodity markets.”
Tim Martin, CEO of InfraSight Software and Expected InfraX Director
“InfraSight was founded on the principle that compute is a strategic yet finite asset. The formation of InfraX alongside exchange-traded products innovator, Jack Bouroudjian, represents significant validation for InfraSight’s vision, which is to facilitate new value opportunities for enterprises through the convergence of HPC and finance. By leveraging our proprietary WCU framework, we plan to create a unique marketplace that addresses critical pain points faced by businesses today and into the future. This initiative ultimately drives greater efficiency and competitive advantage in client operations, making it a vital enhancement in the AI era.”
Next Steps
The next step for InfraX includes the formation of an Advisory Board consisting of potential market participants and stakeholders. The Advisory Board is expected to validate and guide the development of InfraX’s offerings and ensure WCU Financial Product alignment with market needs.
